Media Rich Curriculum (MRC) and Student Production

While the videos below are vacation videos, they demonstrate that an inexpensive camera can accomplish larger blended movies. Still shots and different segments can be blended to make longer movies. This video was filmed with the HD version of the Flip. When downloading the HD films the bandwidth required is significant. The creativity of your students can really shine through and provide learning moments. The software that comes with the Flip should not be compared to more expensive software and camera solutions. It is powerful enough for students to learn and even create original Media Rich Curriculum. The cameras need supervision as there is always the possibility for improper use.

The following film was taken at Sliver Salmon Creek in Alaska. The bears had just come out of hibernation and were busy with the rites of spring. The mother bear in the first part of the film was very worried about a male bear attacking her cubs.
