As we have been evaluating key components on the Intelligent Classroom, we have been looking for a video distribution system, IP TV and distance learning tools. Well we found it, and then some! MediaCAST is really the center piece to the Intelligent Classroom. With the easy to manage data warehouse, curriculum can now be a shared project across the district. Librarians and Media Specialists are very important. In the past they were responsible for handing out VHS and DVD's. Now they can "Electronically" check them out. Helping protect the districts from copy write violations. It handles almost every file type out there and works incredibly with Smart Technologies Interactive White Boards, eInstruction, Promethian and others. United Systems is the only approved dealer in Oklahoma or Arkansas.

Schools and school districts need good solutions and financing.  Inventive Technology offers a range of products that are eligible under the Federal E-Rate funding program.  MedaCAST has curriculum creation tools, and can help tie the curriculum to State and Federal Standards.  It is not too early to think about what your plans for next year's E-Rate could be! MediaCAST has an estimated 70% of  its components that are E-Rate Eligible.

The On-Location Cart is one of the most used features in MediaCAST. The cart allows the schools to provide a learning opportunity for students by reading the morning announcements to the entire school. Not only does this get the students involved in the daily functions of the school, it also helps teach life skills.

MediaCAST combines a Web-enabled learning management system with the tools to create, manage and deliver live and on-demand IP multimedia anytime, anywhere.  It is a feature-rich, easy-to-use and efficient platform for creating and managing multimedia content and delivering online learning programs.

The MediaCAST platform integrates media management and learning content management capabilities into an easy-to-use toolset:

  • Content Repository
  • On-Demand Digital Library
  • Media Creation Tools
  • Copyright Management
  • Metadata Management
  • Standards Correlation
  • Collaboration
  • Digital Rights Management
  • Room Control

The MediaCAST repository feature is the nucleus of the system.  It holds all of your digital content formats, provides management features that allow you to work with all your existing content and tools to collaborate and create new, "user-generated" content.  It enables you to centralize your activities and to create, store, manage and deliver digital content effectively.

Expansion modules are used for multimedia course construction, interactive classrooms, e-portfolios, videoconferencing, media conversion, live IP TV, on-demand video encoding, wireless broadcasting or digital signage.

The Digital Learning Repository is critical for the Intelligent Classroom. It is one thing to have the United Streaming Video, it is another to be able to incorporate the video into a lesson plan and tie it to state standards.

Kiosk Central

The digital information flow in a school district starts at the door. When students, faculty and community members walk through the doors, it is important to get the information in eye-catching media rich formats. The tool allows for centrally controlled programs, information, and images to be displayed in the halls and lobbies of the schools.

Room Control

With the increased requirements placed on budgets, power consumption becomes more important over the life of the technology used in the school. This tool allows for centralized control of most electronic devices in the classroom. The cost savings on projector bulbs can be significant. The tool allows for the classroom electronic devices to be powered down or up on schedules. This helps eliminate the over night, or non-educational burn on the projector bulb and monitors.
